EA TAG Committee Discussions - Additional Commissioning

Below is an excerpt from the March 16th meeting minutes of the EA TAG Committee. From this excerpt, you will definitely see that we need good Commissioning representation on this committee.

"2. CIRs - EAc3 – Additional Commissioning

Question 1 allows the schematic designer to be the commissioning agent
- One felt that the order of work does not matter (schematic to Cx). It could still be a conflict of interest.
- Two others disagreed with this.
- Producing a schematic design for a job is only the basis of design intent.
- The TAG agreed with the draft ruling to question 1.

Question 2 does not allow the design drawing developer to be the commissioning agent.
- The TAG agrees with the draft ruling to question 2."
