Bringing the Commissioning (Cx) and Sustainable Design (Green) Communities Together!
The U.S. Green Building Council hosted its annual conference, Greenbuild, in Atlanta last week, drawing nearly 10,000 people and 600 exhibitors. The conference included the major announcement of the council's overhaul of the submittal process for LEED certification so that the process is now conducted entirely online.

In March 2008, I joined HSMM AECOM as a Project Manager, tasked to develop a commissioning practice for the firm. Prior to joining HSMM AECOM, I was a third-party Commissioning Authority for Engineering Economics, Inc. focusing on building systems commissioning and sustainable design. I also have over 13 years of previous design experience with a mid-size A/E firm. In August 2001, I started an online community called MEPguide.com, focusing on how technology relates to our industry. Now, I am focusing my time on a soon to launch site, called CxCentral.com and this CxGreen Blog. I hold degrees in both mechanical engineering and architecture. I am a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), LEED™ Accredited Professional and a Construction Document Technologist (CDT). Obviously, I enjoy working on the Internet. I also enjoy spending time with my family.
